The Brown Sugar Project is a musical explosion of soul music in its finest form. Their music brings back the look, feel and sound of the greats in the Soul, R&B, and Top 40 music and invites the listener to experience our sound with all five senses. From Aretha Franklin to Jill Scott, Chaka Khan to Ledesi, The Brown Sugar Project will ensure that any event they undertake will be engulfed by the sheer excitement of the wonderful melodies this talented band delivers!
The Brown Sugar Project was formed in 2009 by Rona R. Rawls, left, a talented singer/songwriter/producer in her own right. The other band members include Troy Sol Edler -vocals, David Hammett -vocals, Jessica Rawls-vocals, Jaimee- Marshall-bass, Clayton Taylor-keys and Michael Verner-drums.
The Brown Sugar Project is based on the belief that their fans needs are of the utmost importance. Their entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of their business is from repeat clients and referrals.
